  • Third poorest country in the world according to Oxford University and the U.N.'s Multidimensional poverty index (MPI).
  • Fourth highest infant mortality rate in the world (one in nine babies will die in their first year).
  • Two out of five children suffer from moderate to severe growth stunting due to malnutrition.
  • Only one in four adults can read or write their own language (26% adult literacy rate).
 
We are in the process of moving to Mali to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Malian people. We cannot go without your prayer and financial support. Would you consider making a pledge to pray and to give financially to the work that God is doing in Mali?

We visited Koutiala, Mali in May of 2011 to help care for the children at the Koutiala Women's and Children's Hospital. Our hearts were broken by the suffering of the most vulnerable members of this impoverished country.

Dan is a Pediatric Surgeon who hopes to provide compassionate surgical care to the children of Mali. Julie is a SIL trained Bible Translator who hopes to be involved in the Old Testament translation into Minyanka and literacy.

We believe that Jesus Christ died on a cross for our sins & was resurrected on the third day. If He was willing to give up so much for us, how can we do any less? We hope to meet the physical need of Mali's poorest with Christ's love.
